ONE EXTENSION · LOCAL-FIRST CREATOR MEDIA ASSISTANT
PinVD Alpha 0.3.3 analyzes complete formats, resolves YouTube player challenges when needed, lets you choose the available resolution, and downloads the media through Chrome. New users receive a 7-day Pro trial with every available resolution unlocked.
The same entitlement policy applies to every supported platform. During the 7-day trial all detected resolutions are unlocked. After the trial, Free users can download formats up to 720p; higher available resolutions are marked Pro.
Reads progressive video+audio formats from the YouTube player response, resolves signatureCipher and n challenges through the PinVD resolver, then validates the final GoogleVideo file. Split adaptive formats still require future merge support.
Uses the same quality picker and Free/Pro access rules when multiple or single downloadable formats are exposed.
Captures X media variants, rejects playback fragments, validates complete MP4 files, then presents the detected resolutions.
Detects public Reddit media and applies the same trial, Free and Pro resolution rules.
Every new installation starts with 7 days of full access. All currently detectable resolutions and Alpha features are unlocked during the trial.
After the trial, formats up to 720p remain available. If a page exposes only a higher-resolution downloadable file, the format is shown but locked behind Pro.
Unlock every resolution that the active platform adapter can safely download. Subscription checkout and account-bound entitlement syncing are the next commercial layer.
Download the Alpha 0.3.3 ZIP, extract it, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode and choose Load unpacked.
Use the PinVD button on a supported page, the extension popup, or paste a public URL into this website. During analysis the PinVD P rotates so the user can see that the format resolver is working.
PinVD validates complete formats, retains the verified source URL for your selection, and Chrome saves the chosen file under Downloads/PinVD.
Video bytes are not proxied through PinVD cloud in the Extension-only path. For YouTube, only player challenge metadata is sent to the PinVD cipher resolver so the final GoogleVideo URL can be reconstructed; the video itself downloads directly from YouTube/GoogleVideo to Chrome.
